ABJ: Factory near the railyard.
Investors plan to build a 123,200-square-foot manufacturing space in Selkirk near the CSX Corp railyard on spec, that is without tenants to fill the space, the Albany Business Journal is reporting. The space will be built to accommodate general manufacturing, but could also be used for storage, distribution and similar activities, the story says. Adirondack Capital Partners is among the investors, and that location they say is not suitable for last-mile distribution that is set near the highways, but it is great they believe for manufacturing which needs the underutilized railroad, the story says.
