ABJ: Big money for state lab
New York State has already agreed to put $750 million into a new public health lab on the W. Averell Harriman State Office Building Campus in Albany, and Gov. Kathy Hochul is planning to add more money to get it done by 2030, but the details are hazy, says the Albany Business Journal. The money will consolidate five laboratories that make up the Wadsworth Center, a biomedical and environmental research laboratory in the Capital Region, the story says. This is part of the governor’s proposed budget.
