ABJ: Demolition makes way for affordable housing
Demolition near Russel Sage College in Troy is almost over, making way for a new affordable housing development, the Albany Business Journal is reporting. Pennrose LLC of Philadelphia is constructing a $67.5 million, seven-story building with 141 apartments and ground-floor commercial space where the John Taylor apartments used to be. The developers have been working with the Troy Housing Authority and tenants will be able to use federal Section 8 housing vouchers to live in the apartments, the story says.
