P-S: Ft. Edward to hold hearing on police dissolution
The Village of Fort Edward is having a hard time retaining police officers, losing two in January alone, so the village may dissolve the entire department. They are turning to the public to discuss the option during a public hearing on Feb. 6, the Post-Star says. The Washington County Sheriff’s Department would take over coverage of the village if the department dissolves, and they may use space in the village office building, the story says.
