The former William Barnet & Sons Shoddy Mills along the Hudson River in Rensselaer will be redeveloped as apartments in a $27 million preservation project that will use historic tax credits to help foot the bill, the Albany Business Journal says. The city of Rensselaer’s Industrial Development Authority has offered a package tax incentives to help fund construction of the 72 apartment.
