ABR: Ecovative fundraising mushrooms by $30M
Ecovative Design LLC, a company that turns the mycelium in mushrooms into meat-like comestibles under the name MyForest Foods, has raised $30 million in its latest round of funding, the Albany Business Review says. Some of the new investment will support the company’s nonfood products, such as a faux leather fabric, that use the mycelium as well. The company has raised over $120 million across five funding rounds, the story says.
