Teachers in the Cambridge pre-school Head Start program saw that their littlest ones during the pandemic were not progressing like they should with their language, especially with their masks on. They could not learn how to form certain sounds and words, so the teacher got an idea: they all learned sign language. All of them. And suddenly the kids were holding conversations, a story in the Times Union says.
Weather.gov: Storm starts warm and rainy today, leads to snow and snow on Tuesday
The winter weather advisory starts at 8 p.m. today and runs into Wednesday morning.
Expect: Heavy, wet snow.
Total snow accumulations of 8 to 16 inches.
Winds gusting as high as 35 to 45 mph.
They are expecting the snow to fall all day Tuesday and be very heavy at times.
