TU: Turbine plant picks up third lawsuit
A group of Glenmont residents claim approvals for a proposed $600 million wind turbine tower factory on Beacon Island in the Hudson River did no receive adequate public review, the Times Union is reporting. They filed a third lawsuit against the town of Bethlehem and Port of Albany seeking to block the project. They are saying the planning procedure did not follow protocol and that the site plan does not effectively deal with the coal ash that has been buried on the 81-acre island for years.
