Rain has forced three sewer overloads overnight. All three affected the Hudson River.
The Washington County, 35 Bridge, Pump Station, Hudson Falls, NY. It is untreated discharge of about 50,000 gallons at the time. The discharge was 11 hours and ongoing at nearly midnight last night. It is a “Permitted CSO Discharge.”
Warren County, 2 Shermantown Rd, Glens Falls, NY. The discharge was almost 10 hours at the time of the alert at about 10 p.m. last night. Steps taken to contain discharge: The City of Glens Falls WWTP blends bypassed sewage with treated effluent to minimize the impact on the Hudson River. 190,000 Gallons Estimated
Washington County 17 Cortland, Fort Edward, NY. The dishcharge was ongoing for about 12 hours at midnight this morning. This was a “Permitted CSO discharge” at plant primary bypass # 002. 5000, partially treated gallons estimated.

P-S: Stefanik cosponsored two Obamacare extensions
U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik is a cosponsor of bipartisan legislation to extend two Obamacare health care programs for five more years, the Post-Star says. If passed, the federal Community Health Center program and National Health Services Corps program will be funded through the end of 2028. The Community Health Center program provides funding for five regional organizations that offer primary care to about 250,000 people in Stefanik’s district, the story says.
