GlobalFoundries plans layoffs, freezes hiring
GlobalFoundries employs about 3,000 people at their Luther Forest Tech Park campus in Saratoga County, and on Friday they announced that they will be laying some off, the Times Union is reporting. The chip maker has been planning a major investment in a second “fab” as the plants are called, but that is now in question, the story says.
